July 2022 Posted on August 1, 2022 by villaadmin Edwardian cross-dressing! At first glance this looks like a regular team photo until you notice that the men are all wearing dresses and women’s hats. Where they got them from is anybody’s guess. We don’t know the circumstances of this photo taken about 1910. However, we might guess that the men challenged the women to a cricket match and the women said it would be unfair because they had to wear long skirts. At that point the men may have said – “O.K. we will too!” The women are all wearing matching ties so perhaps they were an organised team.
