Long-time residents will remember fondly the “Willingham Amateur Dramatic Society” better known as WAMADS. This was very active performing both serious drama and comedies and a much-loved annual pantomime in the old Church Hall, Primary School and, more recently, the Ploughman’s hall. The annual pantomime drew in many young people to act and, of course, watch. In this photo we see cast members for “The Wizard of OZ in 1984”. I wonder if any of these still live in the village?
