This is quite an old photo – probably about 1900 and we see the White Hart pub on the right. But what is this building in the middle? It has a shop front but above is a wooden structure with open slatted walls. And next to it is a brick building with no doors or windows and a very large chimney. It’s clearly an industrial building but we don’t know the purpose. A brewery maybe? If you have any ideas let me know. The barn to the left of it is still there today but was not connected. This is now the driveway to the old White Hart and there is no trace of this building left at all.
