To figure out where these houses are imagine standing at the end of Church Lane with your back to the social club. This row of house ran down Fen End towards Earith Rd. They were demolished (probably 1960s) and the current new houses build in their place. It’s easy to get nostalgic and think how nice this row of cottages could have been made but these were very small low grade houses – literally two rooms down and two upstairs and no amenities at all. Still, undoubtedly some people made a happy home in them.
