Only long time village residents will recognise this. It is Short Lane as seen from Green Street. On the left was a rather odd farm house – long and with windows placed asymmetrically. Behind it was a large farmyard stretching down the lane. On the right was a single story industrial building that was, at one time, a petrol station and workshop but in more recent years a furniture maker. The farmhouse lasted until the early 2000s but now is all covered with attractive new houses. Part of the gradual transition of Willingham from a working farm village to a desirable residential one.
