What is the year?
I’m just looking into the history off this house. As I now live at this address I was looking for old photos to establish its history and usages from first being built to the current day. Any history and pictures would be grateful. Thank you. Andrew

From Robert Antrobus
This pub (the Vine) was owned by my Great Great Grandfather in 1851 and is shown as such in the Census of the same year.
His name was James Huckell. He was also a farmer and I think he also may have had some sort of shop or store. The whole family worked either on the farm or in one of the business as soon as they were old enough to be of use. Indeed his 14 year old son Charles was working on the farm in 1851.

Anne Hadfield is on the far right. Is that Alison Talbot in the pink flowery costume? And Karina Wilson to the left of her?

Berrycroft
This is from the corner at the junction of Long Lane, Mill Road & Berrycroft. The old Chip Shop (now Chinese takeaway as well) is behind the central electric pole.

That is most certainly Teddy Austin, and that is Mrs Easey next to Miss Addison, and that is Mrs Austin next to Mrs Easey. I cannot place Mrs Mrs Jeeps or Mrs Ingle.
