The Salvation Army stopped at various point around the village to play, sing and preach and soon gathered a small audience. Here at the end of Rook Grove on Over Road. One of them may be Gordon Spackman.

The electricity pole at the end of Rook Grove caught fire, soon extinguished. Among those watching I think are Grace and Ken Jeeps as it was opposite their house.

These two older houses on the corner of Rampton End and Rampton Road at the end of Schole Road were demolished soon after these photos were taken in 1990 and new flats built in their place.
