This was taken outside my father's {David Parish} shop at 47 Station Road. It was taken around 1985 shortly after our move from number 3 Newington. He purchased the buisness from John Hemmington and was to be the last of the Parish family [originally from Swavesy] to be in the trade as a master butcher, ending an era of five generations working as butchers in Cambridgeshire. This was his second local shop, for many years he had a shop in Longstanton, moving out when the RAF left Oakington. I am afraid I cannot remember the name of the young lady in the picture for some reason Karen rings a bell but I cannot be sure.
