Note the St Ives - Ely railway line appearing from bottom left and then heading up the photo. This was locally known as the Pork and lard line after the diet of the navvies who built it. One bridge parapet can still be seen just before Earith lock, and a sign on the end of a cottage on the opposite side of the road.
