Construcing the sewers on the corner of Berrycroft and Long Lane. The ground conditions here as the worst in the village, due to an underground stream running through sand. The pipe on the left is a de watering plant. This consists of a series of pipes ...
Construcing the sewers on the corner of Berrycroft and Long Lane. The ground conditions here as the worst in the village, due to an underground stream running through sand. The pipe on the left is a de watering plant. This consists of a series of pipes pushed into holes bored in the ground connected to the pipe running along the ground, this is connected to a pump, hopefully removing the water before it runs into the trench (AndrewC)
